  • Public Welcome to enter Blacksmith Days event area from Noon to 4:00 PM for the Regular Farm Museum Entry Fee. The Farm Museum is open from 9AM to 4PM. Meals are Not included.
  • Lunch available to the public Sat & Sun for $10.00 per person each day
  • Safety Glasses Required in Traditional Arts Academy building and all demonstration tents

Forged Item Contests

  • A hammer
  • An item with 3 or more mechanically assembled components
  • Rivet, mortise & tenon, collar, etc. *A forge weld is not a mechanical assembly


Rules: Entries must be forged by the Entrant since BSD 2016; Forging stations available on site to complete contest items; Demonstrators will judge contest on design, technical details, and overall execution; The judges decisions are final; First, Second, and Third prizes will be awarded for each forging contest.

  • Limited on-site, RV and primitive camping available. Public restrooms are available, No hook-ups or showers. All Campers will be required to complete and sign the Farm Museum Liability Release Statement

Forged Iron Work Auction

Forged Iron Auction 4:30PM Saturday

Silent Auction Ends at Noon on Sunday

Attendees may consign blacksmithing/metal working tools and equipment Consignments subject to 20% auction commission and Maryland sales tax (6%) will be charged. Include list/description of items to be consigned with registration

Raffle

  • No raffle this year. Items will be offered at auction during the event.

Portfolio and Forged Items Display Tables

Bring examples of your work and/or portfolio to network with other smiths and show the public.
